How I ensure newborn safety during a photography session
Newborn photography requires careful attention to detail, especially when it comes to ensuring your baby’s safety. Here’s how I prioritize safety during every photography session:
Safe posing techniques – I use safe, gentle posing techniques that avoid any risk of strain or discomfort for your newborn. Each pose is carefully chosen to keep your baby secure and comfortable. And if need lot of time to wrap your baby I will take it, for example I can re-wrap two or three times if needed. We have to follow the rhythm of your little one.
Constant supervision – I ask to a parent to be always close by to help monitor your baby during the session. Indeed, newborns are very strong, and we cannot imagine that they can push on their legs so suddenly and lift their body with such force! I never leave a newborn unattended, and I am always prepared to adjust poses or props if needed.
Proper support – I make sure your baby is well-supported, using props, cushions and weights in baskets (to prevent baskets from tipping) to create a stable and soft environment.
Temperature control – I maintain a warm and cozy environment to keep your newborn comfortable, especially during undressing or posing sessions. I bring every time a little heater if needed and a fluffy blanket which I cover newborn with for a feeling of security.
Gentle transitions – I work slowly and gently to transition your baby between poses to avoid sudden movements that might startle them.
Hygiene – All props and blankets are thoroughly cleaned before each session to ensure your baby is in a safe, sanitary environment.
By following these safety practices, I can ensure that your newborn’s photography session is both enjoyable and safe, resulting in timeless memories for your family.
